Congregation specific information for ministries within the church.

Activities for Children and Youth

We are active in ministry with our children and youth.  Children have the opportunity for Christian education through our Sunday School program which meets Sundays at 8:45am from September-early May.  They also can choose to participate in our Vacation Bible School occuring one week in summer.  For more information see the Children's Ministry page.

We are fortunate to have an excellent relationship with First Presbyterian Church, and therefore, we have combined our Middle School (6th-8th grades) and Senior High (9th-12th grades) Youth Groups for increased numbers and increased fun.  Throughout the school year the youth meet for fellowship, study, service, worship and fun.  For more information see the Youth page.

Ushers and Lay Readers

These liturgical ministries within the church enhance our worship experience and participation.  Each week a team of ushers serve the congregation by greeting worshipers, handing out bulletins, answering questions, lighting candles, monitoring sound system and collecting our tithe and offering.  The lay readers assist in worship by reading scripture and leading unison prayer.

 Lawn Care

Regular attendees and members of the church each take a week during the mowing season and do their part to keep our lawn and church grounds in good condition.

Prayer Chain

The prayer chain is a calling chain that can be activated by anyone who requests prayers by simply calling the church office or each prayer chain leader.  The members of the prayer chain committ to pray for the request.

Funeral Meals

In the event that a death occurs, the congregation, through the UMW, provides a luncheon for the grieving family and community after the Service of Death and Resurrection.  We consider it a holy priviledge to care for our friends and neighbors in their time of need in this way.
